Halloween Fun... or should I say madness!

We had a very busy, but very fun Halloween. Jackson was a monkey, as you can see. We went to some friends house for dinner and then trick or treating. He actually did the whole trick or treat 'thing.' Very cute to watch! Then we went to a Halloween party at some other frineds' house. Jackson lasted until 11 pm- without a meltdown! He was a real trooper!

Relaxing with some popcorn after the craziness was over!

Carving Pumpkins....
This was Jackson's first time carving pumkins. He loved it, especially cutting into the pumkin with a (safe) knife. He wouldn't touch the pumkin 'guts' though, maybe next year!

The finished product, in the dark and in the light!

A Trip to the Pumpkin Patch...

One weekend in October we visited Grandma and Grandaddy Waltz in McMinnville. We enjoyed the beautiful fall day by going to the pumpkin patch. What an event! There was so much going on! Jackson was WAY more into the tractors than the pumpkins- what can we say- he is ALL boy!

Oregon Fan!

Thanks to Grandaddy Bruce Jackson can now show his Duck pride.

This is a picture of Jackson spotting a deer in our yard. He is already in training to hunt with daddy!

Below is a picture of Jackson's new truck. We can't get him away from it! Such a boy!

This is a miracle shot. He does not sit this still very often!

Hello.....AGAIN!!!

Hello everyone! Okay, so I know I haven't posted anything on here for almost a year. I am going to start posting again because it gets too confusing to remember who I sent emails or pictures to.

Anyway, things are going great for the Hertel family. Jackson is creeping up on 20 months and signs that he is almost two are popping up everywhere. He is a very sweet boy, but once in a while he lets us know that he is unhappy! He is saying more words every day and loves to be the center of attention. His favorite place to be is outside, so that is where we spend most of our time.

Most of you probably already know that I am pregnant again. We are very excited to have a new little Hertel. I am due April 14th, so we will get a spring baby this time.

Things with State Farm are great, Jason is an amazing business owner. I am still teaching 2nd grade part time. I love the balance of home and work. Anyway, that is pretty much all of our news! Hope you are all doing well. I will post some recent pictures.

Here is a picture of me on my 30th birthday. Jason and my friends gave me a surprise party. I actually was very surprised. Such a fun night!

It's Pumpkin Time

Hello everyone! We decided to create this blog so our family and friends can easily keep in touch with us and see what Jackson has been up to! Jackson is growing so fast and turning into such a little boy. He is 8 and a half months and crawling everywhere and pulling himself up onto everything. He keeps us very busy! We have been enjoying the fall season, we hope you have been also.
Love to everyone!
